Our School

Riverside Drive Charter Mission Statement:

To provide the highest-quality educational experience that empowers all students with skills,

knowledge, strategic thinking and values in a positive, safe and challenging environment,

fostered by a cooperative effort between school, parents and community.

Founded in 1938, Riverside Drive Charter Elementary has long served as a neighborhood school, and later went on to become both a neighborhood school and charter. Located in Sherman Oaks, California, Riverside Drive Charter School (RDCS) is a LAUSD-affiliated charter elementary school serving a diverse ethnic and socioeconomic community of over 600 Kindergarten through 5th grade students.  The diversity at RDCS enriches students’ exposure to different languages, customs and religious perspectives from an early age, and reflect the 21st Century world our children live in today.

RDCS provides curriculum encompassing academics and social responsibility; thus preparing our students to be responsible, contributing members in the community and good stewards of our environment. Parents, including our dedicated volunteers are important partners here at RDCS and we encourage and welcome your continued support and participation.  You can help make a difference!
